Mayo School of Ballet
Mayo School of Ballet & Performing Arts provide classical dance training to children and young adults. The school is affiliated with the International Dance Teachers Association taking part in certified examination sessions biyearly, alternating with a school performance. Previous productions have taken place in the Linen Hall, Town Hall Westport and Royal Theatre.
Classes are taught on a weekly basis using the IDTA Syllabi and students are encouraged to prepare for examinations. This process teaches students correct technique, performance skills, discipline and a goal to strive for. Students can take exams from the age of 5 years up to advanced level.
